Privacy Policy
Last updated June 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information tinycamp collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using tinycamp.co or subscribing to our weekly email (the “Service”), you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
You give us this information when you sign up:
- Your email address
- Your first name
- Your zip code
- Your children's first names and their birth month and year (used to match age-appropriate activities)
If you invite a co-parent, you also give us their first name and email so we can invite them.
We also collect basic engagement data about our emails, such as whether an email was delivered, opened, or had a link clicked. This helps us understand what's useful and improve the newsletter.
How we use your information
- To personalize and send you the weekly newsletter
- To match activities to your kids' ages and your neighborhood
- To send confirmation and account-related messages
- To improve our curation and the Service
- To respond to you when you contact us
We don't sell or share your information
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose it only to the service providers that help us run tinycamp, such as our email delivery provider, our data storage and hosting providers, and the AI provider that helps draft and organize event copy. These providers process your information only to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Children's privacy
tinycamp is intended for parents and guardians, not for children. We don't knowingly collect information directly from children. The limited information about a child that we hold (a first name and birth month and year) is provided by a parent or guardian to personalize the newsletter. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us at hello@tinycamp.co and we'll delete it.
Email tracking
Like most newsletters, our emails may include small tracking pixels and tagged links that tell us when an email is opened or a link is clicked. If you'd rather not be tracked, many email apps let you block remote images, and you can always unsubscribe.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common industry standard for how to respond to these signals, so we don't currently respond to them. We also don't allow third parties to track your activity across other websites through tinycamp.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe anytime using the link at the bottom of any email.
- Access, update, or delete your information by emailing hello@tinycamp.co. We'll take care of it.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as you're subscribed and as needed to run the Service. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we'll remove it, keeping only what we need to honor your unsubscribe request or to comply with the law.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We can't guarantee absolute security.
Third-party links
Our emails and site link to other websites and venues we don't control. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to review them.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have rights over your personal information, including the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and how we use it
- Request a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information (note: we don't sell or share it)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@tinycamp.co and we'll respond. Under California's “Shine the Light” law, you may also ask whether we share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing. We don't.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
